Wanda Joyce (Mosely) Stansell, age 93, passed away in Snyder on Saturday, November 16th, 2024.
Family Visitation is planned for Sunday, November 17th, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday, November 18th, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church, 208 37th Street, Snyder, Texas 79549 with Pastor Rick Owens officiating and assisted by Joe Stansell. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Fluvanna Cemetery.
Mrs. Stansell was born on July 17th, 1931 in Senate, Texas to George and Pearl (Mc Leland) Mosely. She married Bill Stansell on January 27, 1950, in Snyder, Texas. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2015.
They resided in Fluvanna, Texas from 1950-2011, where Bill had a Dairy for over 53 years. They moved into Snyder in 2011. Wanda worked in Snyder at Cogdell Memorial Hospital over 20 years as a nurses aide and ward clerk for the Emergency Room. She played the piano at church from the age of 12 years to present day.
She played for The Fluvanna Baptist Church for over 53 years, Avenue D Baptist Church and Faith Baptist Church til present. She Loved The Lord and was saved at the age of 20 at The Fluvanna Baptist Church. She Loved her Kids, Grandkids, Great-Grandkids and her Siblings, She Loved Traveling and Life.
She is survived by
2 Sons, Steve Stansell and wife Nancy of Snyder, TX and Johnny and Dale Stansell of Abilene, TX;
3 Daughters, June Mebane and husband Tim of Snyder, TX, Gwen Wilson of Snyder, TX and Teresa Ferguson and husband Tom of Kasilof, AK;
Sister, Marie Hughes of San Antonio, TX;
10 Grandchildren;
33 Great-Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by Parents, George and Pearl Mosely; Husband, Bill Stansell; Brother and Sisters, Malcolm Mosely; Lola Montgomery, Velma Kinder and Fay Stansell.
Grandsons and Great-Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
