Wanda June Lee

Wanda June Lee, age 86, passed away in Lubbock on Friday, August 9th, 2024.

Family Visitation is planned for Friday, August 16th, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Graveside services will be on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 at 10:00 am at Rose Hill Cemetery, in Merkel, Texas. with Pastor Steve Highfield officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Wanda was born on June 23rd, 1938 in Blair, Texas to William Riley and Nora Cordelia (Smith) Loper. She married Dewey Allen Lee, Sr. on June 23rd, 1956, in Scurry County. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2004. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and was Sonic's first cook, when it opened in 1971. She Loved her family, playing the slot machines, camping and The Dallas Cowboys.

She is survived by

Daughter, Laura Fisk and husband Russell of Snyder, TX;

3 Sons, Dewey Allen Lee, Jr. of Snyder, TX, Barry Lee and wife Charity of Cross Roads, NM and Wade Lee of Lubbock, TX;

19 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Parents, William Riley and Nora Cordelia (Smith) Loper; 6 Brothers, Lonnie Loper, Jesse Loper, Bob Loper, W.R. Loper, Dean Loper and Elvin Loper and 2 Sisters, Sherry Kay Vaughn and Barbara Loper.
