Maxine Ragland, age 96, passed away on Sunday, July 30th, 2023.
Family Visitation is planned for Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church, 1712 27th Street, Snyder, Texas 79549 with Pastor Ben Reid officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Hillside Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Ragland was born on October 8th, 1926 in Clarksville, Texas to Dee and Bessie Boone. She married Phil K. Ragland on November 27th, 1946, in Lubbock, Texas. Mr. Ragland preceded her in death on February 28th, 2011. She was a member of Colonial Hill Baptist Church and a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary at Cogdell Memorial Hospital, for many years. She loved her family, baking, bird watching and being a Mammaw to everyone. She took pride in many things, but baking pies was what she was best known for in the Snyder Community. She is survived by 3 Sons, Kenny Ragland and wife Barbara of Houston, TX, Kelly Ragland and wife Donna of Lubbock, TX and Shawn Ragland and wife Teresa of Snyder, TX;
Daughter, Sherry Lynn Patterson and husband Alton of Abilene, TX;
3 Grandsons, Tate Ragland and spouse Dimitri Koumbis of Austin, TX, Ty Ragland and wife Allison of Lakeway, TX and Page Patterson of Ft. Worth, TX;
5 Granddaughters, Hayley Wilson and husband Clint of Abilene, TX, Courtney Ragland of Amarillo, TX, Spencer Ragland of Lubbock, TX, Annie Martin and husband Brandon of Midland, TX and Terann Reigh and husband Matt of Snyder, TX
and 15 Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Parents, Dee and Bessie Boone; Husband, Phil K. Ragland and 2 Granddaughters, Shay Ragland and Kelsey Ragland.
