Velma Bonita "Bonnie" (Johnson) Carroll Norred

Velma Bonita "Bonnie" (Johnson) Carroll Norred, age 79, of Snyder a Baptized child of God, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024.

Family Visitation is planned for Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Lighthouse Assembly of God with Danny Williams officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Hermleigh Cemetery, Hermleigh, Texas.

Bonnie was born on November 19th, 1944 in Snyder, Texas to Jesse Alonzo and Novilla Pearl (Goswick) Johnson. She was the only girl of 6 children, having 5 brothers. She married Russell Carroll on July 3rd, 1964. They relocated to Garland, Texas for many years. Wanting to be close to family, they moved back to Snyder in 1978. Bonnie attended The Church of God in Snyder for many years. She was a great prayer warrior, Sunday School teacher and the best pie maker. She never met a stranger. Whether you met her for 5 minutes or your entire life, you knew you were loved and accepted. She was a member of The Lighthouse Assembly of God. She Loved her family, quilting, ice cream and Living Life to The Fullest. She loved being a nurse for over 31 years and was known as the OB Nurse at Cogdell Memorial Hospital.

3 Grandsons, Benjamin Burke of Keller, TX, Aaron Norred and wife Amanda of Odessa, TX and Joshua Blackwell of San Antonio, TX;

2 Granddaughters, Lindsey Norred of Odessa, TX and Bonita Snowden and husband Jim of Linden, TX;

4 Great-Grandsons, Augustus Snowden of Linden, TX, Bleu Snowden of Linden, TX, Presley Blackwell of San Antonio, TX and Emmitt Blackwell of San Antonio, TX;

3 Great-Granddaughters, Dolly Mae Norred of Odessa, TX, Lillyan Snowden of Linden, TX and Olivia Blackwell of San Antonio, TX and

Mother-in-law, Hazel Norred of Snyder, TX.

She was preceded in death by Parents, Jesse Alonzo and Novilla Pearl (Goswick) Johnson; Father-in-law, Frank Norred; 5 Brothers, Don Johnson, Jesse Johnson, George Johnson, Damon Johnson and Bill Johnson; 2 Sons, Kenneth Blackwell and Marcus Carroll and Grandson, Bryce Burke.
