Travis Lee Elliott

Travis Lee Elliott passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the age of 85. He was born

on August 3, 1939 in Voca, Texas to Leroy and Lora (Tuckness) Elliott. He married Jo

Retta Kincaid on December 19, 1958. The couple moved to Snyder in 1965 where Travis

worked for McDonald Welding and Jack Greene Welding. He opened his own

business, Elliott’s Welding, in 1975 and operated it until his retirement in 2005. Travis

loved taking his family, especially his grandchildren camping at Garner State Park each

summer. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He was so proud of all of their

accomplishments throughout their various activities and sports. PaPa was their biggest

fan.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 67 years, Jo Retta; daughter

Rhonda Elliott Dacus of Snyder; son Ricky Elliott and wife Effie of Snyder; granddaughter

Kendra Groves of Snyder; grandsons Bryson Elliott of Roscoe and Austin Elliott of Abilene;

great-grandson Kyler Groves of Snyder; sisters Juanita Goff of Colorado City and Coleta

Squiers of Ingram; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Charles Elliott and Delmo Elliott; and

sister Maeola Elliott Ramsey.

Travis was a great man who loved helping others in times of need. He was loved by so

many and will be missed tremendously, but his legacy will live on in each life that he

touched.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Miller Family

Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Miller Family

Funeral Home with Joey Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery.
