Santiago Espinoza Sr., 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026. He was born on October 12, 1935, in Smithville, Texas, to Frank and Dominga Espinoza.
Visitation is set for Tuesday August 11,2026 from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm with the Rosary starting at 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Services will be set for Wednesday August 12,2026 at 10:00 am, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Colorado City, with Father Michael Officiating. Burial will follow at Mitchell County Cemetery.
Santiago lived a long and meaningful life, leaving behind memories that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a loved husband, father and grandfather. Santiago shared a beautiful journey of love and companionship with his devoted wife Guadulupe of 71 years together. They had 6 children together. Together they built a life of family, love and joy. Santiago's playful spirit and love for jokes brought warmth and smiles to those around him, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A dedicated and hard-working man, Santiago dedicated 25 years of service to the Brown Brothers, where he worked until he retired in 2008. Though his passing brings sadness, his life is a reminder of the importance of family, love, and the memories we carry with us. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain close in the hearts of those who loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife Guadulupe Espinoza of 71 years, six children Josie (Louis), Helen (Carlos), Jimmy Jr, Christine and Christopher. He has 15 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren
He is preceded in death by his father Frank and mother Dominga, his beloved son Freddie, his grandson Eric and four brothers and one sister.
