Laquita "Ruth" Odell Cox, 73, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 6-7 pm. Private services will be held at a later date. Mrs. Cox was born March 26, 1946 in Lubbock, TX to Hallie and Retha (Shaw) Leatherwood. She married Jimmy Cox on June 8,1962 in New Deal, TX. Ruth enjoyed cooking, watching westerns and working cattle. Above all, her passion was being an amazing wife to an amazing husband. He passed in 2018. She is survived by 2) Sons Tony Cox and wife Sharla of Lubbock Tim Cox and wife Johnette of Snyder 1) Daughter Tisha Flotte of Alamogordo, NM 1) Sister Sugar Russel and husband John of Lubbock 2) Brothers Gene Leatherwood of Lubbock Ray Leatherwood and wife Joann 6 Grandchildren 7 Great Grandchildren She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister Bernice Evans online condolences may be left by visiting millerfamilyfuneralhome.com
