Rusty Wells

Russell "Rusty" Wells, age 63, of Snyder, passed away August 27, 2016.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 3rd, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at East Side Church of Christ with Jeff Dunn officiating. A family visitation will be held afterwards at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Wells was born June 5, 1953 in Portales, NM to L.D. and Ethel (Graham) Wells Jr. He married Sandi Bishop on December 21, 1974 in Lovington, NM. After spending a couple of years in college, Rusty began in the oilfield in 1973, he retired from Mobil-Exxon in 2008 as a Senior Startup Specialist. Work locations included Monacans, Houston, Indonesia, Venezuela and Nigeria. He considered his time spent as Foreman of the Salt Creek Gas Plant as the highlight of his career. Rusty enjoyed hunting, fishing and lathe-metal working. HIs favorite season was the NFL season.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, William "Bill" Wells
