Roxy Dwayne Small 75, passed away on September 17,2026. He was born on August 3,1951 in Portales, New Mexico to Nathan and Doris (Duffy) Small. His parents lived in Snyder, Texas at the time he was born, however they had the doctor in Portales, New Mexico deliver Roxy.

Roxy grew up and was raised in Snyder, Texas, where he attended first grade all the way through high school where he graduated from Snyder High School. He then would attend Western Texas College, and he was one of the first graduates from Western Texas College. His name is on a marker at Western Texas College as one of the first graduates. He would then go on to receive his bachelor's degree in welding engineering from Tarleton State University in Stevensville, Texas.

He then started working as a welder for the company YZ industries for several years. Roxy later worked at E.D. Walton Construction as a welder for many years. He later worked at Southern Electric, specifically in the lumber department. Roxy played baseball in his youth and coached youth baseball. Specifically Farm League, little league and pony league. He tried out for Philadelphia Phillies baseball team.

Roxy then married Lyn Hardy of Colorado City, Texas in 1996 and then gain his two adult children. Roxy lived in both Snyder, Texas and Colorado City, Texas with Lyn. Roxy was an avid deer and elk hunter throughout his life and collected many deer mounts. Roxy loved dancing to country and western music and going to the V.F.W. Roxy was always smiling and never met a stranger and had a good sense of humor. Roxy was a deacon at the Cowboy church here in Snyder, Texas. When the church moved to Westbrook, Texas he attended there briefly before he had to move to Hobbs New Mexico to be closer to his children due to medical care. Roxy had somewhat lengthy health challenges over the past couple of years of his life.

Roxy is survived by his brother Malcom and wife Debbie Small of Snyder, Texas, his children son Lonnie and wife Mayetle Mitchell of Clovis, New Mexico, and daughter April Balderrama of Seminole, Texas. An uncle Clinton Small and wife Barbara of Marietta, Ga. Grandson Sean Valaszuez and wife Sammie of Seminole, Texas, granddaughter Shelby Rivera and husband Joe of Seminole, Texas. Nephew Cameron Ethridge and wife Kimberly of Lubbock, Texas, Niece Lindsey Hernandez and husband RJ of Snyder, Texas, niece Brianna Lee and husband Joseph of Mckinney, Texas, as well as many bonus nieces and nephews. And many great nieces and nephews, and great- great nieces and nephews, and cousins. A Memorial later will be conducted at his wishes. Condolences can be posted on Miller Family Funeral Home website, and memorials can be made towards anything that helps others out or to your choosing.

He is preceded in death by his parents father Nathan Small and mother Doris (Duffy) Small of Snyder, Texas, a sister Jovita Ethridge of Slaton, Texas.
