Richard passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026. Richard was born March 27,1958 to Johnny Blocker & Cecil Pearl Graham in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

The visitation for Richard Blocker will be held on Wednesday January 28, 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. The services are set for Thursday January 29, 2026, at 2:00pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel.

He moved to Snyder, Texas, as a teenager.

Richard met the love of his life, Terri, in 1976 when he was working in the oil fields. They later married on September 3, 1977. They had two children, Emilee Duck and Matthew Blocker. Richard worked in the oil field then went on to being one of the best diesel mechanics around, he could fix just about anything.

Richard was such a giving, caring, selfless person. His goal in life was always to take care of everyone, and he did. Richard loved his family, and he was a fierce protector of them. He loved racing, fishing and hunting. He wore many hats, but his favorite was being a POPS to his grandkids.

Richard was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor in June 2022. The tumor was removed twice and Richard stayed on the course and fought hard until he entered the gates of heaven on 1/24/2026

He is survived by his wife Terri Blocker

His daughter Emilee Duck, and son Matthew Blocker.

Madison Blocker of Denton, Texas

Remington Blocker of Carlsbad, Texas

His siblings: Sherry Burnett of Malvern, Ark; Linda Madrid of Albuquerque, NM.

Natalie Porter of Donaldson, AR; Luanna Truitt, spouse Rick of Silver City, NM; Carla Durrett of Nevada, MO; Kenneth Tatman of Malvern, AR; Carl Durrett of Union, Tx

His brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Diean Callaway and mother-in-law Norma Callaway.

He had numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends he called family.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
