Ricardo "Richard" Surita Zamora, 74, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, in Snyder, Texas. Richard was born on June 2, 1951, in Snyder, Texas, to Albert and Paula Zamora.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with Father Albert Joseph Devanesan, HGN, officiating. Interment will follow at Snyder Cemetery.
A lifelong member of the Snyder community, Richard will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, and the love he shared with family and friends throughout his life. He enjoyed roofing, carpenter work, woodwork and fixing cars. He was loved by so many and he loved to help people.
He was someone who valued faith, family, and the relationships he built over the years. Richard had a warm spirit and a steady presence that brought comfort to those around him. The memories shared with him will continue to be treasured by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife Maria Zamora of Snyder, Texas, 2 sons Toby Zamora of Snyder, Texas and Joe Louis Zamora of Snyder, Texas. 2 daughters Lou Ann Zamora of Sweetwater, Texas, Ofelia Zamora of Irving, Texas. Granddaughters Madison Kinsley Sosa Sanchez of Sweetwater, Texas, and Alyana Mata of Ralls, Texas and his brother Lupe Zamora of Snyder, Texas and 13 nieces and nephews and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alberto Sr. and Paula Zamora, His son in law Andrew Sosa andJr., and his brothers Alberto Zamora Jr. and Jessie Zamora, and his niece Barbara Zamora Gurerro.
Richard will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
