Rebecca Brown

Rebecca Ann (Jones) Brown, age 97, of McCamey, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 2, 2026, at the McCamey Convalescent Home under Hospice Care.

Services will be held at Miller Family Funeral Home, Sunday, August 9th at 2:30 p.m. in Snyder, Texas, with Nathalie Kelley officiating. Pallbearers will be Brandon Brown, Roy Brown, Scott Groat, Will Inman, and Gilbert Bustos. Burial will follow at Neinda Cemetery.

She was born on July 22. 1929 in Jones County, Texas, to Tom Mose Jones and Dessie Ann (Debusk) Jones. "Becky", as most people knew her, grew up with four brothers in the small community of Fairview. She graduated from Stamford High School. In 1948, she married James William Brown, and they shared 57 wonderful years together. She loved sewing, square dancing, traveling the country with James and her brothers and sisters-in-law, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She brought joy to everyone with her kindness and warmth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Brown, son Michael Brown, daughter Debra Brown, and her brothers Durwood, Shubeal, Jack and Tom Jones.

She is survived by her son Dan Brown (wife Elaine), of McCamey, Texas, daughter-in-law George Anne Brown of Rockledge, Florida, grandchildren Natalie Brown Jennings (Jon), Brandon Brown (Stephanie), Justin Jones, Miranda Thurmond (Gilbert), Sarah Inman (Will), Roy Brown (Ruthie), Micah Bluto (Chris), Scott Groat (Dana), and Marti Baze and many great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of the McCamey Convalescent Center for the kindness, caring and love shown to Rebecca.
