Novilla Benitez, age 92, passed away in Snyder on Monday, November 16th, 2015.

Family Visitation is planned for Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 18th, 2015 at 10:00 am at Avenue D Baptist Church with Brother Cliff Phillips officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Hillside Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Benitez was born on February 18th, 1923 in Dermont, Texas, to William Goswick and Emmer Blair. She was part of a cafeteria staff for 10 years. She married Jesse Alonzo Johnson on June 23, 1941 in Snyder. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1995. She later married Benny Benitez at the Church of God in Snyder, Texas on November 27, 1997. She was a member of the Church of God for 50 years, and Ave D Baptist Church for 18 years.

She is survived by her Husband Benny Benitez of Snyder, 1 daughter Bonnie Norred of Snyder, 2 Daughters-in-law Wanda Johnson of Snyder, and Cathy Johnson of Hermleigh; 3 Step-Sons and Spouses Manuel & Jane Gutierrez of McCalley, Texas, Ygnanico & Cris Benitez of Snyder, and Kenneth & Freida Benitez of Rotan; 3 Step-Daughters Rosa Luna of Snyder, Linda & Jim Butchez of Wylie and Brenda & Don Call of Lubbock, Texas; 1 Sister & Husband Sue & Bobby George Benson of Beberry, Texas; She is also survived by 30 grand-children, 60 Grand-children and 46 Great Grand-children.,

She was preceded in death by her first husband Jesse Alonzo Johnson, 5 brothers and 1 sister, 5 sons William Johnson, Don Johnson, Jesse Johnson, Damen Johnson, and George Johnson, as well as both parents.
