Myrtis Kay Scott, 69, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Sweetwater, Texas. She was born on March 6, 1957, in Sweetwater, Texas, to Bobby Gene Scott and Helen Jean Crump Scott.
Visitation for Mrs. Myrtis Scott is set for Friday April 24,2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. Services are set for Saturday April 25,2026 at 10:00 AM, at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Snyder, Texas.
Myrtis will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with those around her. She loved eating sweets; she loved joking around and laughing. Her favorite color was red. She valued family, friendship, and the simple moments in life that brought joy and meaning.
She had a quiet strength and a caring nature that made others feel comforted in her presence, she was a shy lady. Whether through her words, her laughter, Myrtis touched the lives of many and left memories that will be cherished always. Her life was a blessing to those who knew her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Roxana (Roxy) Scott of Lubbock, Texas. Three brothers, Douglas C. Scott and wife Gloria of Buckey, Arizona, David C. Scott and wife Donna of Dublin, Georgia, Bobby Scott Jr. and Lavetha of Huntsville, Texas. One sister Terri A. Wells and husband James H. Well Jr. of Snyder, Texas. As well as many nieces and nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Father Bobby Gene Scott and Mother Helen Jean Crump Scott, and Barbara Ann Scott Washington.
Myrtis will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
