Martin Lara , age 54, passed away in Abilene on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025.
Family Visitation is planned for Martin Lara on Tuesday February 25th, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home in our chapel. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, at 11:00 am at Primera Iglesia Bautista at 1635 Walnut, Colorado City, Texas with Pastor Felix Silvia officiating. The burial will follow at Mitchell County Cemetery under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Lara was born on March 16th, 1970, in Colorado City, Texas to Ramiro Lara and Jovita Ortiz. Martin Lara enjoyed cars; he also liked the Dallas Cowboys football team. He loved his family, and he loved making jokes. Martin was a quite man until he got to know you.
He is survived by his wife Estella (Castro) Lara. One son Adrian Lara, One daughter Amanda Lara. Three sisters Melissa Lara from Colorado City, Texas, Krystal Jordan from Ft. Worth, Texas and Frances Yanez from Big Spring, Texas. Two Brothers Ramiro Lara Jr. from Colorado City, Texas, and Anthony Lara from Colorado City, Texas. One Maternal Grandmother Aurora Rocha.
He was preceded in death by Ramiro Lara Sr. - Father, Jovita Ortiz – Mother, Fransica Viejo Lara Grandmother and Frank Rocha grandfather.
