Maria Anita Lopez

Maria Anita Lopez of Snyder, Texas, passed away on May 5, 2026, at the age of 65. Maria was born on September 19, 1960, in Snyder, Texas, to Lorenzo Martinez Jr. and Desideria Martinez.

She spent her life devoted to her family and home as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

Visitation for Maria will be Friday, May 8th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A Rosary will be held that same evening from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on May 9, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Snyder, officiated by Father Albert Joseph Devanesan. Interment will follow at Snyder Cemetery.

She was united in marriage to Miguel Lopez, with whom she built a life centered around love and family. Maria had a joyful spirit and truly enjoyed life. She loved watching football and softball, going to bingo, playing Pokeno (PACO), and visiting the casinos. She also loved to dance and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who meant the world to her.

She is survived by her husband, Miguel Lopez of Snyder; her sons, Miguel Lopez Jr. and Miguel Duran Lopez, both of Snyder; her daughter and son-in-law, Valerie Ramos and Toribio Ramos of Snyder; her brothers, Mike Martinez and wife Virginia of Coahoma, Rosendo Martinez and wife Maria of Killeen, Jose Martinez of Snyder, and Rumaldo Martinez of Colorado City; as well as numerous grandchildren including granddaughters Kristy Anne Lopez, Alyssa Castillo, Camilla Marie Lopez, Savannah Nicole Lopez, Aliyanna Maria Lopez, Bibianna Reina Ramos, and grandson Christopher Mason Lopez all of Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo Martinez Jr. and Desideria Martinez; her son, Jeremy Lopez; her daughter, Veronica Lopez; her grandson, Dominick Ryan Lopez; and her brothers, Juan Martinez and Saturnino Martinez.

Maria will be remembered for her love of family, her joyful spirit, and the time she cherished with those closest to her.
