It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Maria Estela Herrera, who left us peacefully on October 14, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on June 28, 1942, in the small town of Sabinal, Texas, to Eulalia and Gregorio Ramirez.

The visitation for Mrs. Maria Estela Herrera will be held on Thursday October 16th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Rosary starting at 6:00 pm, at Miller Family Funeral Home.The service is set for Friday October 17th at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev: Albert Joseph Devanesan HGN officiating. Interment will follow at the Snyder Cemetery.


She dedicated her life to her family. She loved gardening and sewing. She was a dedicated daughter to her beloved mother and father, Eulalia Sanchez and Gregorio Ramirez, and a cherished wife to her husband, Mario Herrera. Maria's love for her family knew no bounds, and she created a home filled with laughter, delicious meals, and memorable stories. Maria lived a life full of love, warmth, and kindness. She spent many years as a devoted checker at United supermarkets, where her friendly smile and gentle spirit touched the lives of countless customers and colleagues.

Maria Estela Herrera, will be remembered for her compassionate heart, unwavering support, and the joy she brought to those around her. She had a unique ability to uplift others, making everyone feel special and valued. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Maria Estela Herrera is survived by husband Mario Herrera, five sons Tom Romero Jr. and Kayla of Snyder, Texas, Homero Romero and wife Yuonne of Nevada city, California, Kaleb Romero and wife Mary of Camas, Washington, Greg Herrera and wife Leticia of Snyder, Texas, Mario Herrera Jr. and wife Emma of Abilene, Texas. Four stepdaughters Esther Clarady and husband Glenn of Snyder, Texas, Rosalinda Tovar and Gus, Connie Martinez and Danny Bryan Texas, Olga Gutierrez and husband Lupe of Bryan, Texas.

Maria was preceded in death by: her first husband Tom Romero Sr., her father Gregorio Ramirez and mother Eulalia Ramirez, her brothers Adam, Robert, and Mario Ramirez and her sisters Elida Yruegas, Eudelia and Aarcisa Ramirez.
