Luis Becerra Rodriguez
Luis Becerra Rodriguez, 73, of Snyder, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2026. Born on August 25, 1952, Luis lived a life full of faith, laughter, music, and love for people.
Visitation for Luis is set for Wednesday February 4,2026 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The services are set for Thursday February 5,2026 at 10:00 am at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. Burial is at Snyder Cemetery. After the burial, the family invites friends and loved ones to join them for a meal and time of fellowship beginning at 12:00 p.m. at 1600 Scott Street, Snyder, Texas 79549.
Luis was the kind of man who never met a stranger. Whether he was giving someone a ride, sharing a story, or talking about Jesus, he made people feel seen and cared for. He often joked that he was "Snyder's First Uber," a title he earned by spending years giving free rides to neighbors, friends, and anyone in need across Scurry County and West Texas.
He married the love of his life, Oralia Rodriguez, on June 6, 1969, in Snyder, Texas. Together they built a life rooted in faith and family. Luis was a devoted husband, a proud father, a loving grandfather, and a joyful great-grandfather.
Luis loved the simple things-fishing at Lake J.B. Thomas, strumming his acoustic guitar, and listening to oldies, especially Elvis and The Beach Boys. He was known for his signature look of shorts, a hat, and sunglasses year-round, always with a Bible close by and a guitar pick in his pocket. His sense of humor and "Luis-isms" were unforgettable, often delivered with a grin- "I might not be right, but I'm never wrong."
His faith was at the center of everything he did. As a lay evangelist, Luis loved sharing the message that "Jesus Saves," and he truly believed Jesus was the answer to every story. His life was a testimony of kindness, generosity, and unwavering belief in Christ.
Luis is survived by his beloved wife, Oralia Rodriguez; his children and their spouses, Christina and Miguel Quiros, Christopher and Elena Rodriguez, Priscilla Rodriguez, and Jacob and Kristina Rodriguez; ten grandchildren (five boys and five girls); and four great-grandchildren (one boy and three girls). He is also survived by his siblings Domingo Rodriguez of Denver, Colorado; Paul Rodriguez of Abilene, Texas; Raul Rodriguez of Snyder, Texas; and Tony Rodriguez of Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gumersindo Galion Rodriguez sand Concepcion Becerra Rodriguez, as well as his brother Isidro Rodriguez and sisters Belia Nakamura and Amanda Hernandez.
Luis will be remembered for his big heart, his joyful spirit, his music, and his deep love for Jesus and people. His legacy lives on in every life he touched-and there were many.
