It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorenzo Alvarado Larralde, a beloved father, friend, and retired farmer, who left us peacefully on November 18, 2025, at the age of 95. Lorenzo was born on August 10, 1930, in Bishop, Texas, and he spent his life embodying the values of hard work, resilience, and warmth.
The Visitation for Lorenzo Larralde is set for Tuesday November 25, 2025, from 5:00 pm Rosary at 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Miller Family Funeral Home. The Services are set for Wednesday November 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Snyder, Texas, with Rev. Albert Joseph Devanesan officiating the services. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery.
Lorenzo grew up in a loving home, the son of Jose Belen and Castulo Larralde, who instilled in him the importance of family and community. Though he may not have had much formal education, his wisdom was profound, and his life experiences taught lessons that were far richer than any classroom could offer. As a farmer, he dedicated his days to the land, and his labor not only nourished his family but also contributed to the heart of his community.
Lorenzo's gentle spirit and compassionate nature touched the lives of everyone around him. His laughter echoed through family gatherings, and his stories brought warmth to cold nights. He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. Lorenzo enjoyed playing laloteria bingo, building chicken pins, and watching Gun Smoke and Bonanza, western movies that were his past time. He loved spending time with his family.
Lorenzo is survived by his sons Juan Larralde of Santa Rosa, Texas, Lorenzo Larralde Jr. of Snyder, Texas. Daughter Maria Guadalupe Larralde of Snyder, Texas, and Stepson Lupe Garza Sr. of Snyder, Texas. Many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
Lorenzo is preceded in death by his parents Jose Belen Larralde and Castulo Larralde Alvarado, four brothers and five sisters, Concepcion Larralde, Timoteo Larralde, Pablo Larralde, Antonia, Emiliana, Felicita L. Minjares, San Juanita L. Mares, Santos L. Salinas and Teodora Garcia. Two sons Leopoldo Larralde and George Larralde, two daughters Idolina Ocanas and Maria Santos Larralde, three step-sons Elio R. Garza, Sacarias Garza, Enrique Garza, and one stepdaughter Irma Sanchez.
Let us remember him not in sorrow, but with gratitude for the beautiful legacy he leaves behind. May he rest in peace, and may we find comfort in each other as we gather to celebrate a life well-lived.
