Larry Wayne York

Larry Wayne York age of 70 passed on Sunday, December the 10th , 2023 in Weatherford, Texas.

Family visitation will be held Thursday, December 14th, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 15th, 2023 at 2:00 pm at East Side Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Larry was born on May 17, 1953 in Erick, Ok to Wayne and Wanda York. Larry grew up loving horses and

trucking. He later in life went into business alongside his dad, Wayne and Brother Steve to start York

Transport in 1972. After the oilfield crashed in the early 90’s he started selling cars for Wilson Motors for

a short period of time. Later went to work for Pennzoil at nights pumping and building his favorite truck

aka Little Willy hauling water during the day for himself starting York Vacuum. Keta and Larry also had

8 cattle trucks running as K&L Cattle Co. during the same time. In 1998 he also went into partnership

with Texhoma Feeders and Weldon Beck running one of the largest cattle operations in the state of

Texas in Justiceburg, TX. Larry's passions were day working, roping, raising tons and tons of kids. He

loved his family, loved his friends and had a heart the size of Texas. He never met a stranger and would

take in any stray dog, cat, horse, but mostly kids. He may have been a bit onery but was loved by so

many. Up until his dying day the man talked about nothing but trucking and the next roping.

He is survived by his

Son, Jason York and fiancé Christy of Snyder, TX;

Daughter, Shelley Billingsley and husband Kraig of Snyder, TX;

Lifelong Best Friend and Mother of his children, Keta York of Snyder, TX;

Sister, Katrina Burney of Snyder, TX;

Nephew, Ryan Babb and wife Kelsie of Coahoma. TX;

Niece, Kassey Burney of Cypress, TX;

Nephew, Cody Burney of Snyder, TX;

Grandchildren, Dylan, Emma, and Boston Billingsley all of Snyder, TX

and Multiple Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Clifford Wayne York; Mother, Wanda Callen-York, and Brother,

Steven Dewayne York.
