Larry Dean Richards

It is with deep sadness, the family announces the sudden passing of their father and grandfather, Larry Dean Richards, 75, who passed away on January 28th, 2024, at his home in Snyder, Texas.

Family Visitation is planned for Thursday, February 1st, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Graveside services will be on Friday, February 2nd, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Ira Cemetery in Ira, Texas with Pastor Jay Kincaid officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Larry was born on December 25th, 1948, to Wilmer and Geneta (Stephens) Richards in Eastland County, Texas. After graduating from Snyder High School in 1967, Larry attended Midwestern State University, in Wichita Falls, Texas with a major in English. In 1971-1974, he attended Bible Baptist Seminary in Arlington Texas, with a major in Pastoral Studies. Larry was a licensed clergymen from the age of 14. Larry started his own business, Ira Testers, in Ira, Texas. Larry’s hobbies were raising animals and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Larry raised, Cows, Emo's, Ostriches, Lambs, Pigs, and Chickens throughout his life.

He is survived by

Son, Timothy Lucas Richards and wife Shonna Kay of Denton, TX;

Stepson, David Kirk and wife Kinzie of Ira, TX;

2 Grandsons, Lucas Augustus Richards and Aris Sean Richards, both of Denton, TX;

Granddaughter, Alyssa Michelle Richards of Denton, TX;

2 Step-Grandsons, Lundyn Pace and Everette, Tanner, both of Ira, TX;

Step-Granddaughter, Sophie Pace of Ira, TX;

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Geneta (Stephens) Richards and Stepdaughter, Stephan Kirk.
