August 6, 1941 — December 4, 2024

Larry Chapman House, 83 of Snyder, Texas, passed away in Abilene on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.


Visitation will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 from 6 to 7 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held in Snyder on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Methodist Church

with Pastor Derrell Paterson and Jeremy House officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens.



Larry was born on August 6, 1941 in Snyder, Texas to Erma Pauline and Raymond House. He married

Carolyn (Buchanan) House on October 3, 1980 in Snyder, Texas. He attended school in Snyder and began

his career as a mechanic, which included owning and managing his own shop, House Automotive. Larry

later retired from Nix's Auto & Tire Services and spent his newly-found free time doing his favorite

activities, hunting and fishing, as well as volunteering and attending church events. Throughout his life,

he enjoyed spending time with his family and his best buddy, Tolby Jack Maelei, a.k.a. White Dog, who

was lovingly named with the initials of his grandkids.

Larry is survived by one son, Michael House of Lubbock, as well as his three daughters, Michelle March

of Abilene, Tracy Hopper of Colorado City, and Carrie Roark of Lubbock. He was preceded in death by

his wife Carolyn, his parents, Erma Pauline and Raymond House, brothers, Jerry House and Milton

House, his daughter, Laura Simpson, and his son in law, Bradley Roark. Larry was known as Popsi to 13

grandkids and 7 great grandkids.
