Judy Cottrell (Hembree), 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026. She was born on May 30, 1961, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Walt and Judy Davis.
A memorial Service is set for Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM, at Ave D Baptist Church, with Pastor Charles Lowry officiating the service.
Judy was a woman who found joy in the simple things and treasured the people who made life special. She was a member of Ave D Baptist Church, where she enjoyed attending Bible study and sharing in fellowship with others. Outside of church, Judy loved playing bingo, watching science fiction and horror movies, and spending time with her friends and family. She had a fun-loving spirit and knew how to enjoy the moments that mattered most.
Above all, Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Her family meant the world to her, and the time she spent with the people she loved created memories that will be cherished for years to come. Judy will be remembered for her caring heart, her faith, her friendship, and her ability to find happiness in the things she enjoyed. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
She s survived by her son Christopher and wife Krystal Kuliga of Snyder, Tx., Son Christian and wife Muhammad Imrand and Zenebou bello Kuliga of Abilene, Tx., a daughter Janie and husband David Davis of Abilene, Tx. Grandchildren: Joshua and Liz Beasley of Abilene, Tx., Blaine Beasley of Snyder, Tx., Alize Beasley of Snyder, Tx., Samuel Kuliga of Grand Prairie, Tx., Aicha Aziz, Fatima Aziz, Zai Aziz, Moriam Aziz all of Abilene, Tx., Edward Hembree of Snyder, Tx., Eldon Hembree of Abilene, Tx., Sapphire Hernandez of Abilene, Tx., Delaine Edmonson Beasley of Abilene, Tx., Hayat Aziz of Africa, Her two brothers Walter and wife Kathy Cave of Snyder, Tx., Matthew and wife Becky Cave of Snyder, Tx., one sister Lorena and husband Ray Chavez of Snyder, Tx., along with may adoptive grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Two very special family members, Tammy Hembree of Snyder, Tx., and Diann Nolan of Snyder, Tx., and many other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Hembree, her parents Judy Cave and Walt Davis, her mother in law Cherry Hembree and father in law Clent Hembree, brother in law Billy Hembree, Her sister Mary Pinkerton and brother in law Terry Hembree.
