Jovita Rocha Ortiz

Jovita Rocha Ortiz, age 68, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 8th, 2023. She will be dearly missed.

Family Visitation is planned for Tuesday, September 12th, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Primera Iglesia Bautista Calvario, in Colorado City, Texas with Pastor Zachary Garza officiating and assisted by Ramiro Lara III. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Mitchell County Cemetery.

Jovita Rocha Ortiz was born on August 23rd, 1955 in Loraine, Texas to Frank and Aurora Rocha. Jovita was a God fearing woman, who loved her children and grandchildren. In her early days she loved dancing, hanging out with her cousins and close friends. She loved the Dallas Cowboys, Barbequing; but most of all she loved being with family. As she got older, her grandkids and great-grandkids were her world. She enjoyed and loved her church family at Family Faith Center, in Snyder, Texas.

Mother, Aurora Rocha of Colorado City, TX;

4 Sons, Martin Lara and wife Estella of Abilene, TX, Ramiro Lara and girlfriend Veronica Franco of Colorado City, TX, Anthony Lara and girlfriend Melissa Salazar of Abilene, TX and David Cantu and wife Jazmin of San Antonio, TX;

3 Daughters, Melissa Lara of Colorado City, TX, Michelle Ramos and husband Anthony of San Antonio, TX and Selena Cantu of San Antonio, TX;

25 Grandchildren and 18 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Brothers, Jesse Rocha of Dallas, TX, Robert Rocha of Plano, TX and Rudy Rocha of Colorado City, TX.

She was preceded in death by Father, Frank Rocha. Ramiro Lara, Sr and Marcelino Ortiz.
