Johnny "JoRey" Rey Hernandez, age 24, passed away on Sunday, August 20th, 2023.

A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, August 26th, 2023 at 5:00 pm at Winston Park, Snyder, Texas with Pastor Bert Gusman officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Miller Family Funeral Home.

JoRey was born on July 25th, 1999 in Snyder, Texas to Reynaldo Hernandez and Melissa (Pena) Castro. He was a member of Family Faith Church. He loved Softball, Basketball, Modifying Cars and Welding.

He is survived by

Mother, Melissa "Mel" Castro and husband Robert of Snyder, TX;

Fiance, Monica Espinoza of Snyder, TX;

Step-Children Ximena and Jayden Ruiz of Snyder, TX;

2 Brothers, Antonio Hernandez of Port Arthur, TX and Albert Lopez of Snyder, TX;

2 Sisters, Annalisia Hernandez of Colorado City, TX and Isabella Hernandez of Port Arthur, TX;

Paternal Grandfather, Loreto Hernandez of Snyder, TX;

Maternal Grandparents, Juan and Mary Pena of Snyder, TX;

Step-Grandparents, Robert and Nancy Castro of San Antonio, TX;

Aunt, Vanessa Compos and husband Jorge of Odessa, TX;

3 Uncles, Orlando Hernandez and wife Diane of Snyder, TX, Johnny Pena and wife Lindsey of Ira, TX and Billy Pena and wife Jenna of Abilene, TX;

Niece, Alessia Callazo of Snyder, TX;

He was preceded in death by Paternal Grandmother, Sylvia Hernandez.

Family is requesting that you wear your softball jerseys or anything Pink or Baby Blue, JoRey's favorite colors. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you bring balloons, in Pink, Baby Blue or Softball design.
