John Guitierrez Martinez

John Gutierrez Martinez, age 61, passed away on Saturday, December 10th, 2022.

A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, December 14th, 2022 at 6:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, December 15th, 2022 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1311 Avenue K, Snyder, Texas 79549 with Father Selva Nayagam Pappu, HGN officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Snyder Cemetery.

Mr. Martinez was born on November 26th, 1961 in Snyder, Texas to Ray Martinez and Aleria (Gutierrez) Ramos. He married Lisa Silva on March 10th, 2010 in Lovington, New Mexico. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He loved his Family, barbecuing and The Baltimore Ravens.

He is survived by

8 Children, John Martinez and wife Sandra of Snyder, TX, Jamie Martinez and Amanda Moreno of Snyder, TX, Veronica Barrientos and husband Hector of Colorado City, TX, Ray David Martinez of Colorado City, TX, Michael Moreno and wife Mayra of Hobbs, NM, Arthur Silva of Hobbs, NM, Mercedes Rodriguez and husband Christopher of Lovington, NM, and Juan Jose Martinez and wife Diana of Hobbs, NM;

19 Grandchildren;

3 Great-Grandchildren;

Mother, Hilaria G. Ramos of Lovington, NM;

7 Sisters;

3 Brothers;

numerous Nieces and Nephews;

3 Special Friends, Jose Ruiz, Gene Alarcon and Roy Gutierrez, all of Snyder, TX.

He was preceded in death by Step-Father, Jesus R. Gomez; Sister, Patsy Savala and Brother, Raymond Martinez.
