Joe Neil McWhirter, age 72, passed away in Snyder on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 1st, 2025 at 10:00 am at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel, 200 E. 37th St., Snyder, Texas 79549 with Pastor Gil Cherry officiating. Arrangements under the care of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Neil was born on November 9th, 1952 in Rotan, Texas to Wendell and Lavinia (Collins) McWhirter. He was a Pipeline Supervisor for 40 plus years. He Loved his family, NASCAR, motorcycling and golfing. He was well liked and thought of by everyone who knew him. He loved his classmates and liked nothing better than getting together with friends, riding his Harley and attending NASCAR.

He is survived by

Son, Dustin McWhirter and Casey Price of Rotan, TX;

Sister, Susan Kiker and husband Jimmy of Snyder, TX;

Niece, Debbie Yearwood and husband David of Lubbock, TX;

3 Nephews, Greg Kiker and Angie of Snyder, TX, Shane Terry and Lindsy of Snyder, TX and Brandon Terry of Bellville, TX;

numerous Great- Nieces and Great-Nephews and

Special Friends, Risa Roberts, Mother of his only Son and the love of his life, of Rotan, TX, Kyle Combest of San Angelo, TX, Scotty Gunn of Abilene, TX and Becky and Dean Sells of Sweetwater, TX.

He was preceded in death by Parents, Wendell and Lavinia (Collins) McWhirter.
