Jesus Dillard Martinez

Jesus Martinez , age 79, passed away in Abilene, Tx, on Friday, September 1st, 2023.

Family Visitation is planned for 09/04/2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Rosary will be at 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023 at 3:00pm at Saint Ann Catholic Church, Colorado City, Texas with Father Michael officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Mitchell County Cemetery.

Martinez was born on August 10th, 1944 in Charlotte, Texas to Pablo Martinez and Dominga Dillard. He married Petra De Hoyos December of 1963. He spent his life as a farmer and rancher. He loved Big Red soda and loved to scratch the lottery tickets, but most of all loved to win on the tickets. He enjoyed playing bingo. He loved being able to watch his Son's and grandson and nephew's compete in mudbogging. However most of all he loved his family and being able to spend time with them all.

He is survived by his mother Dominga Martinez, 2 sons Jesus Martinez Jr. and wife Barbara, Raymond Martinez and wife Audy, One son-in-law Frederico Salazar Jr. He is survived by 5 grandchildren, Jessica Ann Taylor, Frederico B. Salazar, Jesus Patrick Martinez, Margaret Theresa Martinez, and Anaya Patreese Martinez and 14 great grandchildren. He is survived by 3 brothers, Pablo Martinez Jr., Ramon and Nita Martinez, John and Olga Martinez. He is survived by 5 sister's Carolyn Bailey, Julie Jonas, Betty Casares, Sandra Vanderslice, and Susie Martinez, as well as numerous nieces and nephew's.

He was preceded in death by his wife Petra DeHoyos Martinez, daughter Cynthia Ann Salazar, sons Jerry Martinez and J. Raymundo Martinez . father Pablo Martinez one brother Ricky Martinez and four grandchildren.
