With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved (Jesse) Jesus Chavez, 80, who left this world on March 3, 2026, in Snyder, Texas. He was born on November 28, 1949, in Lyford, Texas, to Silverio and Lorenza Chavez. While our hearts are saddened by the loss, we are grateful for the love, memories, and moments we were blessed to share.
Visitation for (Jesse) Jesus Chavez is set for Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Rosary will be set from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Miller Family Funeral Home. Services are set for Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 10:00 am, at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Jesse was someone who brought warmth and kindness wherever he went. He had a caring heart and a way of making others feel welcome and valued. Whether through a simple conversation, a helping hand, or a shared laugh, Jesus made life brighter for those around them.
Jesse was a lifelong resident of Snyder, Texas. He worked for Scurry County Pct. 1 and at the cotton gin for many years, where he retired. Jesse loved his dogs; he loved being on the tractor doing stuff around the house. He would spend his free time going to the game rooms. But most of all, he loved being around all his family.
He is survived by his wife, Josefina Chavez of Snyder, Tx. Three Stepdaughters Margarita Amando and husband Rodrigo of Lubbock, Texas, Sylvia Molinar of Lubbock, Texas, Maryann Alaniz and husband Luis of Lubbock, Texas, four stepsons, Jose Ricardo Molinar and wife Franeisca of Snyder, Texas, Ruben Molinar and wife Sandra of Snyder, Texas, Mario Molinar of Snyder, Texas and Sergio Molinar and wife Leticia of Snyder, Texas. One brother, Jose Chavez, and wife, Micaela of Snyder, Texas, and one sister, Nicolasa Chavez, of Loraine, Texas
He was preceded in death by his parents, Silverio and Lorenza Chavez, and one sister, Sylvia Chavez.
Jesse will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by him.
