Jerry Don Jackson , Age 78 of Hermleigh, TX, passed away June 20th, 2025, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring, TX.
Jerry was born in Olustee, OK on Oct 7th, 1946, to O.E. Jackson and Vera Mae Crouch Jackson. He had one sister, Jan, and one brother, Barry. He graduated Snyder High School in 1965 and joined the US Army shortly after. During his service in the 6th US Army – 8th Evac Hospital, he achieved the rank of SP5 (Specialist 5), and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and Expert Rifle decorations.
After his honorable discharge from military service, Jerry settled back in Snyder, TX near his family.
Jerry married Rita Molano and had one son, Jerry Waylon, one daughter, Crystal Rene’, and one stepson John Richard Pena.
He had a lengthy career as a truck driver and “Merchandise Dealer” and always had a Number 1 good deal for ya.
Jerry is survived by three children.
Son Jerry Waylon Jackson and wife Angelica of Snyder, daughter Crystal Rene’ Soria and husband Daniel of Snyder, stepson John Richard Pena and wife Shastade of Snyder.
Sixteen grandchildren.

One nephew. Eric Davis
Jerry was preceded in death by both his parents.

And many lifelong friends who’ve surely welcomed him to their table with a cup of coffee. In keeping with Jerry’s wishes, he will be cremated and his remains buried in Dunn, Tx with a private family gathering at a later date.
