James "JIm" Edward Courtney, age 87, passed away in Abilene on Thursday, December 31st, 2020. No Services are planned at this time, Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home. Mr. Courtney was born on January 18th, 1933 in Northwoods, Vermont to James and Mable (Scofield) Courtney. He is survived by 4 Sons, Danny Courtney of Snyder, TX, Kevin Courtney of Snyder, TX, Tim Courtney and wife Kristi of Kaufman, TX and James Courtney, Jr. of Kyle, TX; 3 Daughters, Lisa Drenckhahn and husband John of Danbury, CT, Kim Lepape of Kansas and Theresa Yates and husband Wesley of Snyder, TX; 16 Grandchildren, 26 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Father, James Henry Courtney; Mother Mable Courtney; Wife, Maxine Courtney; Sister, Hazel Chase and Daughter, Sandra Lee.
