Jack Benny Chasteen

On November 7, 2021, Jack Benny Chasteen, at the age of 83, peacefully reunited with Ann, his wife of 52 years.

Mr. Chasteen was born in Hartselle, Alabama to Ernest and Lilly (Swan) Chasteen. He married Patricia Ann Taylor in 1967. She preceded him in death on July 30, 2019. Jack worked for many years with Jack's Roadboring. He loved his family, fishing and was always ready to hold a baby or a kitten.

He is survived by daughter Jacqueline Harden and husband Lewis of Odessa, son Daniel Chasteen and wife Dee of Snyder; grandson Brandon Burgess and wife Krystal of Abilene; great-granddaughter Jadynn Burgess of Abilene.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Billy and Joe Chasteen and his sisters Bernice Chasteen Davis and Mary Chasteen Hall.

Jack had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed by his family and those who knew and loved him.
