"Red-Dog" “Pappy”

July 13, 1966 - July 18, 2025

Greg Edward Cole, widely known as "Red-Dog," passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 59.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM in Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will be held on July 26, 2025, at 10 AM. at Miller Family Funeral Home chapel. Address is 200 E 37th St, Snyder, Texas 79549.

Greg proudly served as a US Army 18th Airborne Paratrooper, exemplifying bravery and dedication during the Gulf War. Following his military service, he embarked on an adventurous career as a roustabout, gaining experience in water hauling and advancing through the ranks in cementing—from cement hauler and pump operator to supervisor.

Greg later took on a brief role as an operations manager but realized that his true passion lay in hands-on work, ultimately concluding his career running tools for Mesquite Oil Tools out of Snyder, Texas.

Outside of work, Greg had a zest for life. He loved riding his motorcycle with his wife Debie in the Hill Country, participating in motorcycle rallies, and was known for his skills in chili cook-offs and BBQing, always striving for perfection in his brisket. If he wasn’t riding or eating, you’d find him on the lake fishing and boating. He cherished time spent with family and friends, and his warm, friendly nature made him someone always willing to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his wife, Debie Cole; children, Mitchell Cole of Fort Worth, Dalton Cole of Lubbock, Hope Cole of Fort Worth, Cayla Jeffery of Eldorado, Alexandra Garcia of Lubbock, and Emily Garcia of Snyder; leaving behind several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers, David, Gary, Danny, and Tracy Cole.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Patti Cole; his mother, Ginger Cole; father, Ray Cole; and sister, Shari Cole.

In memory of Greg, please consider honoring his spirit by supporting veterans or sharing a kind word with someone in need, just as he did throughout his life.
