Geraldine Henry

Geraldine "Gerri" Henry, 84 of Snyder, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 in Lubbock.

At Ms. Henry's request, there will be a celebration of her life at a later date.

Ms. Henry gained her beautiful earned wings on Thursday, December 22.

She was born October 26, 1932 in Platmouth, Nebraska to Gerald and Roanna (Meisinger) Cady. She married Joseph Dutra, and then later married Arthur Henry.

Ms. Henry lived a beautiful long life full of love, joy and many amazing memories shared with so many beautiful people. To her family and friends, she was a great pillar of strength in each and everyones time of need. She lived to love, and in doing so, she graced so many people with precious memories of all sorts. She loved the outdoors, camping, boating and BBQing. She was a passionate sports fan. She loved the Oakland Raiders and Oakland "A"'s. She love playing and teaching games. In better health, she could be found playing & hosting games at the Senior Citizen Center like Mahjong and various types of card games. Family game nights were also a regular event. She was an angel walking among us, spending many years of volunteer work to her local hospitals. She is and always will continue to be deeply missed. She left this earth, not wanting us to be consumed with sadness and sorrow, but to feel the Joy and Celebration in her life, her healing and her reunion of her lost loved one's.
