Jerry Gunset, 85 of Snyder, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 16, 2024 from 6-7pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 10:00 am at The 37th Street Church of Christ with Joey Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens.
Jerry was born February 1, 1939 in Hume, Missouri, to Brice and Nina (Jones) Gunset. He married Eloise Thomason on September 23, 1961 in Lubbock, TX. He served four years in the United States Air Force. Jerry was a long time member of the 37th Street Church of Christ, He became owner and operator of a faith based company, Production Logging, a mom and pop operation in 1979. He and Eloise enjoyed traveling in their RV, where they were members of the Big Country Good Sam's for over 20 years, then traveling with the Pharr RV group. Jerry was very active in his children's sporting events, coaching soccer and baseball, boys scouts and cub scouts. He would mow church members yards, build ramps and help at youth camp. Godly, Honesty, Integrity and a Serving Heart. These were just a few words that Jerry Gunset was known by.

A special thanks to Hud Benitez for delivering communion to Jerry for the past several weeks as he was unable to attend church. In addition, the family would like to say a special thanks to The Goodlife Staff: Lashell, Tammy, Wayne, Amber and Brooke.. West Texas Home Health and Hospice staff: Racheal, April, Teresa, Kinney and Reagan.
