George Pena

We are saddened to announce the passing of George Guerra Pena on June 20th,2025 at the age of 79 in Snyder, Texas. He was born on February 26th,1946 in Runge, Texas to Martin and Juana Pena.

The visitation for George Guerra Pena is set for June 30th,2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 Pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. The services are set for July 1st,2025 at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Snyder, Texas at 10:00 am with Father Albert officiating the service. The internment will be at Snyder Cemetery.

George Guerra Pena was strong willed, compassionate, and a hardworking man. He helped those in need anytime he could and was even a consistent donator for the Catholic Church. He was extremely devoted to his Catholic beliefs. He worked in the oilfield for several years of his life, then went on to work as an electrician until he retired. He was his nieces, Valerie Pena and Nicole Pena’s God father. George loved to watch his Western shows, and the EWTN Catholic Church on Tv. He loved the Dallas Cowboys football team and the Texas Rangers baseball team; he also loved country music.

George Guerra Pena survives his sister Anita Alberez of Snyder, Tx. his niece’s Suzanne Pena of Snyder, Tx. Valerie Pena of Snyder, Tx. And Nicole Pena of Snyder, Tx, his stepdaughter Ruth Mendoza and husband Victor of Amarillo, Tx. His stepsons Johnny Hernandez and wife Julie of Lubbock, Tx. Ray Hernandez and wife Maria of Odessa, Tx. And David Hernandez of Amarillo, Tx. He is survived by several step- grandchildren, and great nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by, his late wife Sanida Pena, his parents Martin Pena and Juana Pena, his sister Julia Luera and three brothers, Martin Pena Jr., Rimigo Pena and Ruben Pena. will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
