Donovan Latimer

Donavan Gail Latimer, age 84 of Snyder, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018.

Funeral Services for Mr. Latimer will be Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy Culwell officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family visitation will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 7 to 8 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Latimer was born September 25, 1933 in Ft. Worth, Tx to Jonathan and Grace Marie (Perry) Latimer. He is a veteran of the United States Army and graduated Texas Christian University with a BS in Geology. Gail was employed by Dresser Atlas for 20 years before starting his own successful business in San Antonio in 1977. His work kept him in South Texas until he and his wife moved to Snyder in 1994. He continued to enjoy his work, even after being placed in his hospice bed. His important words to his family and friends, "He never worked a day in his life because he enjoyed what he did." As much as he loved the oilfield and finding oil wells, he also enjoyed his deer hunting. Above all, he was an extra special Pa Pa, greatly loved by his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Billie Jean (2014) and brother Royce Latimer
