Donovan James Harvey

Donovan James Harvey, age 26, passed away on Friday, August 11th, 2023.

No visitation planned. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 18th, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Christian Temple, 1927 Hickory St., Colorado City, Texas 79512 . Burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Dorn Cemetery.

Mr. Harvey was born on March 25th, 1997 in Odessa, Texas to Elizabeth (Harvey) Goerdel. He married Shannon Morris on January 2nd, 2020 in Abilene, Texas. Donovan grew up in Westbrook Texas, where he enjoyed showing steers, FFA events, and playing sports. Donovan enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2015, out of high school, where he met a tremendous amount of friends that turned into a family away from home. He served 7 years as a combat engineer. In 2020 he welcomed his beautiful baby girl, Amelia. In 2022 he made a hard decision to leave the military and to move back to Texas. Donovan's hobbies included; hunting with close friends, golfing with his brothers-in-law and running cattle with his dad. Most importantly he loved being a father and husband. Donovan is known for his infectious smile and bear hugs. He was an incredible person and friend. Who was loved by him was incredibly lucky. "He will be missed greatly and forever in our hearts."

2 Sisters-in-law, Kenzey Digby and husband Zach of Snyder, TX and Cheyenne Tubb and husband Hayden of Big Spring, TX
