Donnalyn Kay Porter, age 66, passed away on Saturday, January 27th, 2024.
Family Visitation is planned for Thursday, February 1st, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 2nd, 2024 at 9:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church, 2405 35th St., Snyder, Texas 79549 with Pastor Charley Garcia III officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Porter was born on February 18th, 1957 in Nolan County, Texas to Dewey and Jewel (Van Dyke) McAnear. She married Charles Henry Porter on November 23rd, 1973, in Snyder, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 5th, 2017. She loved her family, gymnastics, her pets, yard work and cleaning. She was known for coaching tumbling in Snyder, for over 45 years.

Son, Charles Heath Porter and wife Brandy of Snyder, TX;
6 Granddaughters, Tegan Dickson of Bastrop, TX, Hannah Garcia of Snyder, TX, Kelan Porter of Bethalto, IL, Carleigh Porter of Snyder, TX, Kalyn Garcia of Andrews, TX and Charleigh Garcia of Andrews, TX;
3 Grandsons, Matthew Porter and wife Emilie of Abilene, TX, Joshua Garcia of Snyder, TX and Blayz Garcia of Andrews, TX;
Great-Grandson, Charles Hayden Porter of Abilene, TX;
Sister, Rhonda Roark-Chambers and husband Randy of Colorado City, TX;
2 Brothers, Keith McAnear of Brownwood, TX and Shawn McAnear and Tracy of Lubbock, TX;
Lifelong Friend and Aunt by marriage, Brenda Powell and husband Dwayne of Snyder, TX;
Closest Friend in the later years of her life, Peggy Highfield of Snyder, TX;
Honorary Grandchild, Savannah Valdez of Snyder, TX;
and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by Parents, Dewey and Jewel (Van Dyke) McAnear; Husband, Charles Henry Porter and Brother-in-law, Steve Roark.
The family ask that memorials be made to the Kay Porter Memorial Tumble Scholarship, 308 36th Place, Snyder, Texas 79549. They want to keep this scholarship, year round, to help kids pay for tumbling.
