Dennis Lee Sellars, 78, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. He was born on January 29, 1948, in Post, Texas, to Doyle Sellars and Rena Cooley (Pylant).

Dennis Sellars service is set for Monday September 28,2026 at 2:00 PM, at Miller Family Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Lowry officiating the services.

Dennis lived a life full of adventure, family, and the simple pleasures that made him happy. He served in the United States Navy after joining right out of school at the age of sixteen. His life was marked by determination, hard work, and a willingness to take on whatever came his way. Dennis was an avid fisherman who loved spending time outdoors. Whether he was fishing, camping with his family, or hunting, he enjoyed being outside and making memories with the people he loved. He especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart.

One of Dennis's favorite pastimes was making his own fishing tackle. He enjoyed working with his hands and creating things that added to his love of fishing. For him, fishing was more than just a hobby. It was a way to relax, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with family. Dennis also had a sweet tooth that his loved ones will always remember. He was known for enjoying sweets and could even sit down and eat an entire pie at one time. That fun-loving side of him is sure to bring smiles and laughter to those who knew him best.

Above all, Dennis loved his family. The stories, laughter, and everyday moments shared with his loved ones will become cherished memories that live on for years to come. Dennis will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his passion for fishing, his sense of humor, and his devotion to family. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Dennis is survived by two sisters Lois Bridgeman of Madill, OK, and Darlene Terry of Snyder, Texas. His son Richard Sellars and wife Angie of Wickett, Texas, daughter Kimberly Wright of Lockhart, Texas, Son Lonnie Rawlls and wife Darla of Yukon, Ok., John Rawls and wife Terri of Snyder, Texas, daughter Melissa Bullard and husband Beau of Lubbock, /Texas, and son Lynn Daviln of Eules, Texas. 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, father Doyle Sellars and his mother Rena Cooley (Pylant), and wife Johnnie Sellars.

Dennis will be lovingly remembered and forever cherished.
