Daniel Martinez

Daniel Martinez, 79, of Snyder, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025. He was born on January 28, 1946, in Floresville, Texas.

Daniel married the love of his life, Oralia, on October 17, 1964, in Hermleigh, Texas. A dedicated mechanic, Daniel had a lifelong passion for cars. He enjoyed hotdogs, Bluebell cherry vanilla ice cream, and the company of his large and loving family.

He is survived by his three sons: Dennis Martinez of Florence, AZ; David Martinez of Snyder, TX; and Joe Martinez and wife Ali of Snyder, TX. He also leaves behind five daughters: Sandra Martinez of Wichita Falls, TX; Silvia Flowers and husband Jim of Glendale, AZ; Debbie Martinez and husband Craig Rowe of Phoenix, AZ; Olga Martinez of Glendale, AZ; and Olivia Martinez of Lubbock, TX.

Daniel was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren—Daniel J. Esquibel, Jacob Esquibel, Isaac Esquibel, Taylor Flowers, Nick Flowers, Joey Martinez, Jacqueline Cabrera, Xavier Martinez, Melanie Martinez, Amy Martinez, Donovan Silvas, James Silvas, Eva Gomez, and Christian Rivera—and great-grandfather to Natalie Esquibel, Auriana Esquibel, and Ya’vani Silvas. He is also survived by his brothers Antonio Martinez (Maria) of Snyder, TX; Teleforo Martinez (Mary) of Spring Branch, TX; Jacob Leal of Bandera, TX; and sister Oralia Talamantez (Aniceto) of Roscoe, TX, along with many nieces and nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his wife Oralia; parents Adolfo Martinez and Ceria Hernandez; sister Lupe De Los Reyes; and brothers Rudolfo and Jimmy Martinez.

A rosary will be held Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 5pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Visitation will follow from 6-8pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place Monday, June 23, 2025 at 10am at Miller Family Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Snyder Cemetery.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
