Cilia Torres Lara, age 83, passed away in Snyder on Sunday, September 6th, 2020. Family Visitation is planned for Thursday, September 10th, 2020 and Friday, September 11th, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at 10:00 am at First United Methodist with Pastor Ryan Ford officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Lara was born on July 5th, 1937 in Odem, Texas to Faustino and Maria (Tijerina) Torres. She loved her family, sewing, cooking, thrift shopping, dancing, watching old cowboy western movies and going to the Scurry County Senior Citizen Center. She is survived by 3 Sons, Joe Lara, Jr. of Snyder, TX, Luis Lara and wife Belinda of Snyder, TX and Sabino Lara, of Snyder, TX; 4 Daughters, Lucy Lara of Cedar Hill, TX, Helen Lara of Snyder, TX, Martha Lara of Snyder, TX and Linda Carrisalez and husband Joe of Snyder, TX; 2 Brothers, Faustino Torres, Jr. of Snyder, TX and Servero Torres of Lubbock, TX; 4 Sisters, Lucy Hermosillo and husband Ben of Snyder, TX, Rosa Flores of Waco, TX, Isabel Marquez and husband Luis of Arlington, TX and Virginia Burgain of Arlington, TX; 18 Grandkids, 27 Great-Grandkids and 5 Great-Great-Grandkids. She was preceded in death by Parents, Faustino and Maria (Tijerina) Torres, Husband, Jose Ysidro Lara, 2 Sons, Claudio and Gonzalo Lara, Granddaughter, Sara Lara, 3 Grandsons, Marcus, Michael Anthony and Gabriel Lara and 2 Sisters, Mary Hermisillo and Lydia Rodriquez.
