Carolyn Rankin

Carolyn Ann Rankin, 74, was born on July 16, 1951, in Colorado City, Texas. She passed away on November 8, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Graveside service for Carolyn will be at 2:00 PM at the Roscoe Cemetery on Wednesday, November 12th.

Carolyn attended Westbrook High School, where she played basketball and was nominated "Most Friendliest." She graduated in 1969. She married Gene Rankin on August 28, 1973. Carolyn was a homemaker, babysat children, and volunteered at Snyder Healthcare Center.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and "Memaw." Most importantly, she loved her Lord and Savior. Carolyn loved her family deeply and had a passion for helping others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, golfing, fishing, and making memories with her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gene Rankin of Snyder, TX; two daughters, Jennifer (David) Carroll of Snyder, TX, and Jody (Joe) Gould of Midland, TX; 6 grandchildren, Kelsey (Jonathan) Zepeda of San Angelo, TX, Morgan (Jayson) Snodgrass of Midland, TX, Austin (Brittany) Sandoval of Snyder, TX, Bailey Gould and Mason Esposito of Midland, TX, Brooklyn Sandoval and fiance Gavin Mireles of Snyder, TX; and Jase Gould of Midland, TX. 9 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Hailee, Kaleb, Lauren, and Carter of San Angelo, TX, Landon, Mylah, Skye, and Fallon of Snyder, TX.

She is also survived by 3 sisters, Brenda Pruitt of Snyder, TX, Marie and Jimmy Brown of Colorado Springs, CO, and Janie and Les Watson of Colorado City, TX; sister-in-law Modena Whorton of Roscoe, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A.C. and Ruby Putman; in-laws, Lewis and Printy Rankin; brother Jerry Putman; and brothers-in-law Randy Whorton and Wayne Pruitt; niece Andra Pruitt, and son-in-law Juan Benitez.
