It is with profound sadness and heartfelt celebration that we announce the passing of Candelaria Hernandez, 82, on March 12, 2026, in Snyder, Texas. Candelaria dedicated her life to her family and embraced every moment with love, joy, and an unwavering spirit.
The service for Mrs. Candelaria Hernandez will be held on Tuesday, March 17, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday, March 16, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with the Rosary from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Miller Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Mitchell County Cemetery.
In her earlier years, Candelaria worked tirelessly in various roles, including two decades at the Snyder Bowling Alley, three years at Dairy Queen, and fifteen years at Walmart. Her tenacity and strong work ethic were a testament to a life dedicated to service and family.
Candelaria was passionate about her hobbies, which included nurturing her garden, playing Spanish bingo, and enjoying family game nights, especially her favorite game, Family Feud. She also loved reading novels, which brought her joy and allowed her to explore new worlds through literature.
Candelaria is survived by her two sons, Jessie L. Hernandez of Weatherford, Texas, and Macario Hernandez Jr. of Poteet, Texas; daughter, Stephanie Molina and husband Ruben of Snyder, Texas; sister, Oralia Judge of Wallace, North Carolina; her loving dog, Fefe; 19 grandchildren; and 52 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her live-in partner, Mario Ramirez; her parents, Manuel and Ysydrora Leal; her daughter, Anita Justa Martinez; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Candelaria Hernandez will be profoundly missed but forever remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she so generously shared with those around her. May she rest in peace.
