Brenda Gail Burleson, 65, passed away peacefully in her home on June 15,2026 surrounded by family and close friends. Gail was born on January 1, 1961, in Snyder, Texas. She was the daughter of Tom and Sara Elam.
Services are set for Thursday June 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Colonial Hill Baptist church, with Pearlene Nolan and Reid Johnson officiating. There will be no burial to follow, as Gail's wishes were to be cremated.
Gail lived a life rooted in Christian faith, always putting others before herself. She dedicated her life to loving, serving, and encouraging those around her, leaving a lasting impact on everyone blessed to know her. Gail was a hard worker all her life, beginning work at an early age and approaching every responsibility with dedication, integrity, and determination. She believed in giving her best in all she did, and her strong work ethic was evident throughout her life.
When Gail retired, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, cherishing every moment she could spend with her grandchildren. Nothing brought her greater joy than being with them, creating memories, sharing her love, and watching them grow.
Gail had a love for shopping, birdwatching, gardening, and spending time with her beloved dog, Sebastian. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, whether tending to her flowers, watching the birds visit her yard, searching for the perfect find while shopping, or enjoying the companionship and unconditional love of Sebastian.
Gail will be remembered as a friend to many, a loving mother and grandmother, and a woman of unwavering faith, kindness, and compassion. She touched countless lives through her generosity, selflessness, and genuine care for others. Her legacy of love and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter Brooke DeLoera and husband Aaron DeLoera of Snyder, Texas. Her sister Kathy Herrley and husband Kirk Herrley of Snyder, Texas. Her brother Tommy Elam and wife Donna Elam of Snyder, Texas. She had 3 grandchildren, Mylie Burleson of Granbury, Texas. Brody Burleson of Snyder, Texas and Blakely DeLoera of Snyder, Texas. She had 6 nieces and nephews. Keagan Herrley of Andrews, Texas. Kelbie Herrley of Lubbock, Texas. Brandon Elam of Lubbock, Texas. Stacey Duffley of San Angelo, Texas. Michel Johnson of Collierville, Tennessee and Jessica Smith of Cayce, Mississippi.
She is preceded in death by her father, Tom Elam, Mother Sara Elam, sister's Joyce Johnson and Kimmy Jean, and son, Brent Burleson.
The family would like to extend their love and thankfulness to Interim Hospice, West TX Hospice, Dr. Hough, Dr. Evans, and Kobie Benham and their team of nurses.
