Bradley Mccoy Gambrell

Bradley McCoy Gambrell, 79 of Snyder, Texas passed on Saturday, September 10th surrounded by his loved ones.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 14th at the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm with graveside services set for 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 15th at the Snyder Cemetery.

Born July 29, 1943 in Seymour, Texas, he met and married the love of his life, Juanita, in Corpus Christi while they were both serving in the United States Navy. Brad served during the Vietnam War as an Aviation Machinist

Mate 2 nd Class aboard the USS Yorktown and USS Oriskany. After being discharged from the Navy, he worked as a police officer in Abilene. Relocating to Snyder, he again served as a police officer and ambulance

driver. Eventually he found his way into the oilfield working for Halliburton Services for 26 years. Leaving Halliburton, he followed another dream and owned and operated an 18-wheeler transporting loads across the nation. Returning to his oilfield roots in later years, he became a drilling consultant on numerous locations across the Permian Basin.

Brad made a lasting impression on those who were lucky enough or unlucky enough, depending on how you look at it, to work with and for him. He was willing to share his wealth of knowledge and show you how to do things the right way keeping you safe. Which normally meant doing things his way. He was demanding and hard, but he was always fair. He enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, restoring and driving antique tractors, he could fix just about anything and was meticulous in caring for his yard, delighted in spending time with his family.

Brad is survived by his wife of 58 years, Juanita; son Bradley Glen and wife Lea Ann, son Kenny and wife Tisha; grandchildren Jessica, Kylie, Wyatt, Laramie, Reagan, Brady, Ella and Jordan; and two great grandchildren, Kallon and Campbell.

Brad was proceeded in death by his parents, Glen and Erma June Gambrell, sisters Alice Fay Riley and Glenna Dean McDonald.
