Billy Ray Browning , age 75, passed away in Lubbock on Saturday, October 10th, 2015. Visitation is planned for Sunday, October 11th, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 12th, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at the Browning Family Cemetery on the Polar Road. Billy Ray was born on September 18th, 1940 in Scurry County, to Jim and Ruby (Sanders) Browning. He was a member of First Baptist Church Snyder. He started his career in the oilfield and then became a rancher. His main hobby was to work. Billy Ray enjoyed "shooting the breeze" with people. He never met a stranger and lived to put other people first. Mr. Browning loved his friends, his family and his little mama. He is survived by his wife Pam Browning of Snyder, TX 1) Son Stacy Browning of Snyder, TX 1) Adopted son Pinny Garcia and wife Crystal of Snyder, TX 2) Daughters Shannon Grantham and husband Millard of Liberty Hill, TX Shilla Wages and husband Cody of Wolfforth, TX 2) Sisters M.J. Merritt and Pat Kelley both of Snyder, TX 7) Grandchildren 8) Great Grandchildren Numerous nieces and nephews, He is preceded in death by his parents 5) Brothers J.H., Timp, Dick, Rusty, and Johnny Sam Browning 1) Sister Ruby Nell Helms Parks
