Barry Jon Farquhar

Barry Jon Farquhar, age 62, passed away in Lubbock on Thursday, March 21st, 2024.

A Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel with Whitney Owen Nixon officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Farquhar was born on November 23rd, 1961 in Snyder, Texas to John Truss and Juanita (Cranfill) Farquhar. Barry was a Christian who attended The Word Is Life Deliverance Church. He loved football, especially Texas Tech (He followed Patrick Mahomes, Sonny Cumbie, Kliff Kingsbury and other fellow Red Raiders), cooking, music, politics and water skiing. He was a great man, who would give the shirt off his own back, for someone in need. He loved helping the elderly and would happily assist those with handicaps. Barry loved dogs and even rescued several himself. He had a great sense of humor and loved joking around.

2 Sisters, Trussha Owen and husband Tim of Fluvanna, TX and Kelly Farquhar of Snyder, TX;

2 Nephews, Adam Owen and wife Somer and Cade Owen and wife Lindie, all of Snyder, TX,

2 Nieces, Whitney Nixon and husband Eric and Olivia Burns, all of Snyder, TX;

3 Great-Nephews, Cameron Ray , Owen Nixon and Cash Owen, all of Snyder, TX;

8 Great-Nieces, Avery Owen, Riley Owen, Brently Owen, Trusslynn Owen, Trinity Nixon, Everly Nixon, Auburn Nixon and Scotland Nixon, all of Snyder, TX.

He was preceded in death by Parents, John Truss and Juanita (Cranfill) Farquhar; Paternal Grandparents, Frank and Nancy Farquhar; Maternal Grandfather, Clinton Cranfill and Maternal Grandmother, Grace Cranfill.
