Aubrey Wilson

Aubrey Wilson, 98, of Snyder, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017.

Services for Mr. Wilson will be Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church Chapel with Pastor Ben Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Visitation for Mr. Wilson will be held at 1:00 pm prior to the service in the Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilson was born in Scurry County on October 21, 1918 to J.C and Gertie (Sooter) Wilson. He married Doris Dixon on December 24th, 1965. Mr. Wilson worked the family business as a farmer and rancher. He loved music. Not only listening to music, he enjoyed making music and making instruments. As a member of a band, he would finish his night out with his favorite song, Amazing Grace. A past time of Mr. Wilson was making fiddles. He made them to give away to his friends and family. Mr. Wilson was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Snyder where he ushered for many years and was a member of the Cita Sunday School Class.
