Aturo Amador

Aturo "Art" Amador Jr., age 67, of Abilene, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016.

Graveside service for Mr. Amador Jr. will be Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Rotan Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Miller Family Funeral Home in Snyder.

Mr. Amador was born March 1, 1949 in Blythe, CA to Aturo and Dolores (Zapata) Amador Sr.

He worked at Quaker Oats Plant in Rockford, Il. He was a contractor foreman for 13 yrs at E.D. Walton Co. in Snyder. Up to his passing, he was working for Quality Roofing in Abilene.

Art was a traveling man who, wherever he stopped, quickly went to work, using his many job traits and skills he was blessed with, ranging from carpentry to mechanical. He loved being outdoors, dancing and telling stories. He was happiest when his stories would make the people listening, laugh and smile. He enjoyed telling jokes to and about his nephews and nieces. He was also fond of the special nick names that he gave them all. Uncle Art will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Rudy Amador, sister Elida Amador and son Aturo Amador III.
